Aerocity
In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary.
summary
ILDL, from its brand portfolio, used luminaires from Dotspot, Technilum and Meteor for the urbanscape lighting project by Lightbook. The sterile and organised architectural urban space was lit up with an approach to make lighting as an additive solution to the design.
about the project
Delhi NCR is becoming one of the largest Urban sprawls on the planet that has sprouted a Building culture that swallows up all the context and reels off a bewilderingly mélange of messy architectural idioms. Yet, for a place which is at the cusp of such transition, Urban aesthetics might be just the way to go. A sterile, organised and secure compound of paneled glass modernity, the GMR Aerocity has emerged as the hospitality district in Delhi NCR. To establish Aerocity as a unified destination at night, lighting plays a vital role.
lighting design intent
With an urbanscape project like Aerocity, it was important to provide definition and readability to the varying spaces. Innovative lighting design took the opportunity to achieve the lighting intent of the space using products from ILDL’s exclusive brand portfolio. The pedestrian spine is a vibrant axis that is accentuated by using Treille columns that allows creepers to grow acting as a design element during the day and lighting up the space at night making it an exciting recreational destination. Light solution was provided to reinforce light as an additive feature to the design.
