Project Type: Urban / Architect: Archohm Consults, Noida / Lighting Design: Archohm Consults, Noida

Light the Ride.

summary

ILDL used fixtures from Heper from its brand portfolio to uniformly illuminate the bicycle track project by Archohm Consults.

about the project

Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has witnessed new numerous projects wherein the city recently witnessed a new initiative by the state government to be a part of the smart cities race – laying of cycle tracks in the city. The 100 km long cycle track caters to the estimated 1,50,000 people in Uttar Pradesh use cycles as a means of their commute.

lighting design intent

Accentuating the bicycle tracks would reduce the risk of the cyclists being unnoticed in dim illumination. Going by the similar design ideation, ILDL successfully achieved the design intent using fixture from Heper to accentuate the dedicated cycle tracks. The fixtures uniformly illuminated the space and used low glare in order to not distract the vehicular movement adjacent to the tracks. The unique milestone module maximized the inter-distance between two fixtures but at the same time helped achieve high uniformities.
